Class Description

Does your child have the desire to learn how to sew? If so, this is the course that you have been waiting for! Your child will learn how to sew in a fun, creative environment with detailed instruction that will give them confidence as a sewer. Over the course of four weeks, they will learn important sewing fundamentals and skills that will help them throughout your sewing journey. Each course is 1 hour and 30 minutes long and is open to boys and girls ages 8 - 16. Course is offered on Tuesday evenings from 6pm - 7:30pm and your child will receive 4-weeks of instruction for $199.00 Course Dates are January 7th-28th Registering more than one child? Enter: DISCOUNT at checkout to receive a 15% discount off your registration Week 1: Fundamentals Learn your sewing machine How to thread a sewing machine Wind a sewing machine bobbin How to sew a straight line, curves, and corners Sew a fun, beginner project Weeks 2 - 4 Sew Fun Project(s) (ie: Tote bag, pillow, pencil pouch, hair scrunchie) Learn how to draft your sewing project How to use a Serger to finish seams Understanding interfacing Learn to select the appropriate fabric for your sewing pattern How to finish hems The course fee includes all sewing instruction, sewing machine usage, sewing supplies, patterns, fabric, and tools. Payment Plans: We offer a payment plan through Sezzle which allows you to split your class up into 4 pay installments when you choose SEZZLE at checkout. Cancellation Policy Pre-Requisites: None Supplies Needed For Class: All supplies will be provided by Sew Hope Registration & Payment: Payment is required upon class registration. Guests, children and pets are not permitted during class. Service dogs are welcome, please inform us in advance. For any special assistance requirements, please notify us in advance so we can assist you. Students may arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up for class. Classes will begin promptly. *Students that are 15 minutes or later to class may be refused entry by the instructor and will forfeit that class. We do this to ensure minimal interruption in our classes. Please be courteous to our instructors and to your fellow sewing classmates by arriving to class on time.
