Class Description

Transform your old t-shirts into a lasting memento with Sew Hope’s T-Shirt Quilt Class. Join Mac Barnes for an interactive and fun class where you’ll learn to create your own T-shirt quilt. These quilts are not only a great way to repurpose old shirts, but they also make for an amazing, personalized keepsake. Whether it's t-shirts from your favorite sports team or memories from your school days, this class will help you create a unique and meaningful quilt. This is a two-hour class, meeting over the course of four weeks. We want to walk with you step by step, so you can complete your quilt with confidence. We are excited to offer this class to the community as it has been much requested. Class Dates: Fridays, June 28th - July 19th 6:00pm - 8:00pm Cost: $99 This class will teach you how to cut, and lay out your t-shirts How to back your t-shirts with the proper interfacing How to square your t-shirt blocks How to sew piece your t-shirt quilt How to add the fleece backing and complete your t-shirt quilt Supplies Required for this class: 25 t-shirts - Please have your shirts ALREADY CUT AT THE SIDE so you can be ready for class A flat queen-size sheet to help determine the layout for your quilt 4-6 yards of fleece fabric which will serve as the backing of your t-shirt quilt. *You will need to bring their own interfacing. 10 yards of midweight fusible interfacing which can be purchased at any fabric store. *****We recommend that you have previous sewing experience for this class. You should feel comfortable operating a sewing machine. If you do not, please take our 90-minute Sewing Machine Basics class. This class will ensure you feel comfortable operating a sewing machine and sewing a straight stitch. ***** *Students that are 15 minutes or later to class may be refused entry by the instructor and will forfeit that class. We do this to ensure minimal interruption in our classes. Please be courteous to our instructors and to your fellow sewing classmates by arriving to class on time.

Cancellation Policy

Registration & Payment: Payment is required upon class registration. Guests, children and pets are not permitted during class. Service dogs are welcome, please inform us in advance. For any special assistance requirements, please notify us in advance so we can assist you. Students may arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up for class. Classes will begin promptly. Refund Policy: If Sew Hope cancels a class due to low attendance you may opt for a full refund or credit. For student initiated cancellations, a full class refund if cancelled 5 days before the scheduled class. A credit is issued for cancellations 2-4 days prior to your class. No refund or credit is given for cancellations within one day of class. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for withdrawals after the class begins or for missed classes due to illness, personal conflicts or other reasons. Credit or fee transfer to future classes is possible, valid for up to 6 months from the originally registered class date. In the event of class cancellation due to weather or unforseen circumstances, we will attempt to reschedule. If the rescheduled date is inconvenient, you may opt for a refund, or credit (prorated for multi-session classes)
