The Genius Skirt Class | March Classes

Class Description

Enjoy this one-day sewing clinic, with Kacie, the founder of the Sew Hope Community Sewing Room. The Genius Skirt is self-drafted according to your specific body measurements. After attending this class, you will be able to re-use the template and teaching instruction again and again so you can make many more skirts -- with pockets, without pockets. Make your skirt mini, midi length or to the floor. Sash it up, or without, regardless you will turn heads. This Class Dates: March 13th, 20th & 27th (Thursdays) 6pm - 8pm Class Cost: $99 During this class you will learn how to take accurate body measurements, how to self-draft your Genius skirt, how to insert pockets, zipper and attach a waist band. Supply List For Class: You will need 5-6 yards of fabric. You may bring in any type of fabric (knit or woven). Pictured are Genius skirts made with 100% cotton fabric. We do have African print fabric for sale at $45.00 for 6 yards at Sew Hope. Sew Hope will provide all sewing notions, and sewing machines for the duration of the class. Individuals who register for this class should feel comfortable threading a sewing machine, winding a sewing machine bobbin and sewing a 5/8 seam allowance. If you are not, please sign up for our Sewing Machine Basics class prior to taking this class. We want to make sure you are successful for this class! *Students that are 15 minutes or later to class may be refused entry by the instructor and will forfeit that class. We do this to ensure minimal interruption in our classes. Please be courteous to our instructors and to your fellow sewing classmates by arriving to class on time. Registration & Payment: Payment is required upon class registration. Guests, children and pets are not permitted during class. Service dogs are welcome, please inform us in advance. For any special assistance requirements, please notify us in advance so we can assist you. Students may arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up for class. Classes will begin promptly. Refund Policy: If Sew Hope cancels a class due to low attendance you may opt for a full refund or credit. For student initiated cancellations, a full class refund if cancelled 5 days before the scheduled class. A credit is issued for cancellations 2-4 days prior to your class. No refund or credit is given for cancellations within one day of class. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds
