Class Description
Memory Bear Sewing Class 📍 Sew Hope Community Sewing Room 🗓 Saturdays – November 1, 8, 15 & 22 ⏰ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Create lasting memories with your very own handmade 22-inch Memory Bear. This class is designed for confident beginner sewists and up who want to turn fabric into a heartfelt keepsake. You’ll be provided with a pattern and step-by-step instruction to bring your bear to life. ✨ What You’ll Learn: How to read and follow a sewing pattern Cutting and assembling the Memory Bear pieces Sewing and finishing techniques for a professional look (Optional) Create clothing for your bear with instructor guidance Many participants complete their bear by the second week! For those who would like to keep sewing, our instructor will be available in the remaining classes to help you make clothing and accessories for your bear. 🧵 Supplies Needed: 3–4 pieces of fabric (1–2 yards each) – Cotton fabrics are preferred unless you are a strong sewist. 1 bag of polyfill stuffing (to fill your bear) ✨ Fabric available for purchase at Sew Hope – we have a wide selection of beautiful quilting cottons. 💲 Cost: $59 (includes pattern + 4 weeks of instruction) 📌 Questions? If you are new to sewing or not yet confident, we recommend our Sewing Machine Basics Class or Beginner Sewing Course first. This class begins with the assumption that students can operate a sewing machine independently. Payment Options We’re excited to offer payment plans through Sezzle! Cancellation Policy
Registration & Payment: Payment is required upon class registration. Guests, children and pets are not permitted during class. Service dogs are welcome, please inform us in advance. For any special assistance requirements, please notify us in advance so we can assist you. Students may arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up for class. Classes will begin promptly. Refund Policy: If Sew Hope cancels a class due to low attendance you may opt for a full refund or credit. For student initiated cancellations, a full class refund if cancelled 5 days before the scheduled class. A credit is issued for cancellations 2-4 days prior to your class. No refund or credit is given for cancellations within one day of class. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for withdrawals after the class begins or for missed classes due to illness, personal conflicts or other reasons. Credit or fee transfer to future classes is possible, valid for up to 6 months from the originally registered class date. In the event of class cancellation due to weather or unforseen circumstances, we will attempt to reschedule. If the rescheduled date is inconvenient, you may opt for a refund, or credit (prorated for multi-session classes)
